Bake sale total and thanks

We sold out at 2pm and raised $297.50; I'll round it up and send $150 each to the Tiptree and Carl Brandon Societies.

Thanks to everyone who brought food (listed in the last entry); to glvalentine, who helped at the table; and to lots of people working at Boskone, who found me the awesome space and better signage and tape and all kinds of useful things. And, of course, to the people who bought food and donated!

Boskone Tea Party, Poppyseed Cake Tasting, & NESFA Press Book Launch

Many thanks to all who came to the Boskone Tea Party Poppyseed Cake Tasting & NESFA Press Book Launch here at Boskone. papersky brought a fabulous apricot saffron poppyseed cake and nesfan brought a cake that appeared and tasted like it was at least 50% poppyseeds. Intense favor, you bet.

I brought candlewick crystal tea cups, buffet sets, and serving pieces, tablecloths (that I actually ironed before use), electric kettles, and quite an assortment of tea. Ctein and papersky were a huge help. autopope and Karen Anderson were on hand to celebrate the launch of Charlie's Boskone GoH book, Scratch Monkey and Admiralty: Volume 4 of the Collected Short Works of Poul Anderson.

'Twas extraordinarily fannish at some points, and truly pleasant overall. Now I'm going to do something I've never done at a convention before: wash crystal. Then the Awards Ceremony & play. Big Fun!
